Challenge :

New paving and kerbing, enhancements to street furniture

Result :

These works were awarded to our company through competitive tender with the objective of encouraging use of the High Street and to enhance trade for local shopkeepers.

This project involved alterations and improvements to kerbing to create ease of use for car users. We sourced high quality cut granite kerbing from Portugal and carried out extensive surface dressing works to the footway. We also installed new benches, removed dead trees and repaired and painted the existing street furniture.

The works ran smoothly and were completed on time with a grand opening ceremony attended by the Mayor, local councillors and local schools, who were actively encouraged to be involved in the scheme. Local feedback to the scheme from all concerned has been very positive.
