Shere Car Park

Construct an environmentally-friendly visitors car park

Result :

After many years of debate among the interested parties, including the Local Parish Council, National Heritage, and the Borough council, our company won the contract to construct a visitors car park at the historic Shere Park heritage site.

The scheme was technically challenging due to the environmental considerations involved in the works. The car park had to be constructed using permeable materials that would be suitable for both commercial vehicles and visitors cars. We recommended an Aquagrid Environmental System and then imported specialised granite stone chippings of various size and colour. The project was completed on time with a formal opening and attendance of local dignitaries and large amount of press coverage.
